LEGO CITY

Until February 2, 2020, the Permanent Museum of Milan will be the setting for “I Love LEGO”, an extraordinary exhibition created with over a million of the famous colored bricks that will make up modern cities and ancient monuments. You will be able to admire entire worlds in miniature, from the ideal contemporary city to the legendary adventures of pirates, from medieval landscapes to the splendours of Ancient Rome, reconstructed by RomaBrick, one of the oldest LUGs (Lego® User Groups) in Europe. The exhibition also boasts an exceptional partnership with “Legolize”, a humorous page that creates comic installations using LEGO. Then, among the various installations, 12 oils inspired by great masterpieces of art history reinterpreted and transformed into “lego men” by the young contemporary artist Stefano Bolcato: combining his passion for LEGO and his art – through a oil painting technique – creates assemblage forms inspired in particular by the “magnetism” of Renaissance portraits.
