How about an aperitif with fresh oysters and a dinner of fresh fish. Quarantine is not a reason to give up good old gourmet habits, especially when there are more and more realities that deliver fresh fish at home. From oysters to crudités of the sea, up to the already cleaned fish fillet and all this thanks to the many protagonists of the food sector on the web, who in this period organized themselves with services that deliver fresh fish every week.

BBQ
The usual Easter Monday grill has gone “in smoke” and even if the weather is already favorable, the barbecues and outdoor friends have to wait. Meanwhile, on a family whim there are mini barbecues for the balcony or terrace that offer the possibility of a limited-size barbecue at home. There are many models suitable for not disturbing the neighborhood with smoking. Small and light barbecues, retractable barbecues and high efficiency pellet barbecues with few smells. The choice is yours.
LEFTOVERS DAY
Today Easter Monday is traditionally the day of leftovers and picnics, the latter obviously not to be considered for this year. Once for the holy feasts, for fear of making a bad impression, the housewives increased the amount of food to be served in a meal that included the presence of distinguished guests, although aware that this abundance would have led to “leftovers”. Risk that did not worry much at the time since there was a real culture of reuse of uneaten dishes. Every housewife, at least those of the past, prepared in their kitchen; recipes that for modesty or modesty have never been transcribed, but handed down from mother to daughter like the secrets that each family jealously keeps. A precious commodity that today is worth brushing up, because among the many evils that afflict our society, that of food waste is undoubtedly the most reckless and heavily affects every class of our society and a wise one administration of the family economy could really help improve budgets that are increasingly difficult to manage.
EASTER AT HOME
Out of any scheme, like the period we are living in, today we would like to give you a delicious and simple idea for your Easter lunch for 2 people based on seasonal first fruits. Get ready for the to cook: 2 duck eggs, 6 asparagus, 6 slices of raw ham, 30 g of Parmesan cheese in thin flakes, black pepper pounded in a mortar. Slowly dip the duck eggs into the boiling water and let them boil for 6 minutes. Remove them from the water and lay them on the egg cups.In the meantime, whiten the asparagus in boiling water for 3-4 minutes until softened. Soak them in water and ice to cool them.Place a slice of ham on a pastry board and place an asparagus and a little Parmigiano Reggiano on top. Wrap the asparagus with the slice of ham. Open the top cover of the duck eggs and serve together with the asparagus rolls to dip.
Enjoy your meal and happy Easter.
ALPS AND SEA
In Veneto, the climate varies from alpine to Mediterranean, descending from mountainous areas to plains or marine areas. In some parts of the region and on the shores of Lake Garda, the vine and the olive tree are at ease, to the point that the wines and oil produced in this region are of extremely good quality. The soil particularly rich in nutrients favors good wines but with a weak alcoholic character. The labels include the high Bardolino, Cabernet Sauvignon, Marzemino, Passito and Amarone della Valpolicella.
TUSCAN LABELS
In the ranking of the 100 most sought after wines in the world of luxury oenology there are also five Tuscan labels. Tuscan wines remain the most appreciated Italian wines in the world of “luxury” oenology. The Italian labels in the ranking are not surprising at all since they are already more than known on the international scene as the Sassicaia of Tenuta San Guido, the Tignanello of the Marchesi Antinori, the Ornellaia and the Masseto of the Tenuta dell’Ornelliana and the Solaia of the Marchesi Antinori.
HELPING EAT
Since last week, seven temporary hubs are being tested for the delivery of grocery shopping for the poorest families. One hundred and fifty employees of the Municipality, operators and volunteers will be on the field to deliver food to thousands of people as long as the measures to contain Coronavirus are active. From the logistics center of Banco Alimentare della Lombardia about 1 ton of food is made available for each hub. Pasta, rice, legumes, tuna, biscuits, tomato puree, oil, salt, sugar and, in the case of families with newborns, also infant formula and homogenised milk. Among the families who receive the shopping there are also those followed by the Department of Social Policies, the Food Bank and the Listening Centers of Caritas in Milan. The operations will be performed according to a vade-mecum of conduct valid for all, present within each hub, which will indicate the safety, cleanliness, management and privacy rules. 130 masks, about 300 pairs of gloves, dispensers and bottles of sanitizing gel are already available to employees and volunteers in every space.
HUNGRY
The new decree with further limitations entered into force on Monday. However, all primary services are guaranteed, including supermarkets. It is very important to know that there is no risk that the food will run out, let alone the basic necessities, so it is useless to run to the supermarket with anxiety and fear by making exaggerated supplies. Always maintain safety distances, shop unaccompanied, staying as short as possible inside the supermarket. All shops and supermarkets have quota access to ensure the right distance between people inside. If you prefer to stay at home, all online services are operational, obviously given the emergency, you will have longer waiting times than normal.
PUGLIA’S WINE
Warm, sumptuous and enveloping; on the palate it is structured, medium acid, soft and fruity and on the nose it is characterized by aromas of red fruit and berries, accompanied by a spicy background … all this is the very ancient Primitivo di Manduria, a wine that arrived in Puglia between 1600 and 1700, in the provinces of Taranto. The origin of its name? Among the many vines that were used to grow in the vineyards, there was one that reached maturity before the others and gave a particularly black, sweet and tasty grape that could be harvested in August. At the beginning, at that time, it was called zagarese, but then, for these reasons, it was called “primitive”. From here was born one of the most drinkable and pleasant wines, which goes perfectly with tasty meats, cooked perfectly roasted or grilled.
