In Veneto, the climate varies from alpine to Mediterranean, descending from mountainous areas to plains or marine areas. In some parts of the region and on the shores of Lake Garda, the vine and the olive tree are at ease, to the point that the wines and oil produced in this region are of extremely good quality. The soil particularly rich in nutrients favors good wines but with a weak alcoholic character. The labels include the high Bardolino, Cabernet Sauvignon, Marzemino, Passito and Amarone della Valpolicella.
